Password Protect a Post or Page in WordPress Without Any Plugin

Do you want to password protect some posts or pages on your WordPress website? Its really easy to do as WordPress has built in password protection for posts and pages. Here’s the procedure,

Once you have finished writing your post or page that you want to password protect, click to Edit the Visibility settings (see image).

Then click on the radio button that says, Password Protected, and enter the password you like. Then click on Publish button.

That’s it. Now, if someone checks the protected post, the following will be displayed,

Thus the visitor has to know the password to see the actual post.
